This year, Camp Kent Nature Center has partnered with The Regenerative School — a community-based, alternative education collective — to expand the butterfly garden and create healthy, farmable land. The goal of this garden is to yield enough of a harvest to be able to donate to Our Neighbors' Table, Amesbury’s local food pantry.
Here's what you can expect on Garden Day:
Planting opportunities for adults
Fun activities for young children
Complimentary tea & snacks
A house-grown seedling to take home
This winter has been full of seedling propagation and planning a dream garden of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Learn about how it’s done and what you can do to create more habitat for wildlife in your own backyard.
This project is supported in part by a grant from the Amesbury Cultural Council.
